BILL'S BODI-BRAID

               Bill's Bodi-Braid was introduced to fly tyers 

               by the late and well respected fly tyer

               Mr. Bill Peabody of Portsmouth, RI.

               Bill wanted to share his favorite material with

               other fly tyers, and hence marketed it himself.

               Bill was well known throughout the fly tying

               community for his popular pattern the                                                 

               Rhody Flatwing. Bill has been featured in

               numerous fly tying books and publications

               over the years and was well respected amongst

               his peers. Bill designed many fly patterns over

               the years many of which fly fishers in the

               northeast have used with great success.

               Bill was a kind man who was always willing to

               share his knowledge of fly tying and fishing

               with others. The fly fishing community truly

               misses his presence and input to fly design.

               It has been said more than once that if fly fishing

               had more people like Bill, the world of fly fishing

               would be a better place.

                    This is a picture of Bill Peabody taken in June 

               1996 with a nice Striper caught at Rose Island

               in Rhode Island.

               We are proud to be able to continue the

               manufacturing of BILL'S BODI-BRAID in

               Bill's memory.

               BILL'S BODI- BRAID's versatility has made it a

               staple ingrediant in many of todays

               contemporary fly designs.

               BILL'S BODI-BRAID is a a flat woven mylar which lends

               itself perfectly to numerous wing, body, and flash

               applications. It's strands of mylar are of the thinnest,

               most supple mylar available making it the highest quality

               braid of it's type on the market.

               Since then many others have tried to duplicte it but fall

               short due to it's extremely fine mylars and suppleness.
